I have noticed a very similar problem to this except I have thought it had to do with thunder. The first time I noticed this was when it was storming very badly out side and I thought to my self, every time I hear thunder, my Bellsouth 6.0 DSL goes out for about 1 to 5 mins. I didn’t think much about it the first storm but 2 days later when it started storming again, I really started watching and testing. It was true, every time it thundered, I would loose connection for a few minutes, it was like clock work.
I have been with Bellsouth for over 5 years and have had NO problems in that 5 years but it seems like sense ATT moved in, my service has been acting funny.
I live in Atlanta Ga.

A Side Note: I had Charter cable internet before Bellsouth and it is operated by ATT. I had nothing but problems with Charter for 4 straight months and every time I would call charter, they would blame it on ATT. That is why I went with Bellsouth. Now ATT owns Bellsouth and the problems are starting again.
