Inherient latency puts a hurting on gaming. 2way has to go from your computer to the sat twice, that's a realistic 3 seconds. Hybrid is better with just a single trip but that's still 1.5 seconds to get killed or left by your party.
Satellite isn't a great solution for gamers at all and may never be even if speed up and down was equal to land based.
