Default Adelphia Begins Time Warner Transition July 31

We are almost there Anselmo1 - sort of. On July 31, Adelphia Communications will begin to transition to Time Warner and Comcast. Time Warner is set to take over the majority of the market which includes Dallas, Cleveland, Los Angeles, among others.

Adelphia customers however, won't begin to notice a change in service (cable programming, Road Runner high speed internet features, etc) until September 2006.

More to come.

Another small company getting sucked up by one of the bigger ones. Between Time Warner and Comcast, they're going to own it all one day. Then it'll be a race between those two to see who can takeover the other one first.

Default Happy that Time Warner took over Adelphia!

I for one am very happy that Time Warner took over Adelphia in my area. Adelphia was one of the most corrupt companies that ever existed in the USA. In the last two and half years, I had five price increases without only one new addition, the NFL Network.

I am so happy to see that Time Warner is an honest and progressive company that realizes that their subscribers are the back bone of their company. How many companies in the USA would have given money back to their respective IDA?

The first day that Time Warner took over, they added 20 VOD stations. That is more than Adelphia has added in the last ten years combined!

It is quite interesting to read I used to have Adelphia and we were happy with them. I guess the big ones are always looking at where they can extend their footprint through M&A's
