Cool ATT Yahoo DSL speeds

So lately I noticed my download speeds have really slowed down with my DSL connection. I took the broadband test and it is nowhere near optimal performance. I tried deleting my cache and some of my temp files but it doesn't seem to have helped much. Has anyone else with ATT Yahoo DSL noticed a change recently?

Default ATT Yahoo DSL

Sourmash - there are several tweaks you can make to improve your DSL performance. You may want to try resetting your dsl modem. Hope this helps!

Yes, I used to have problems with Yahoo SBC DSL. If I remember correctly, I would turn off the modem and run a virus scan. I would also delete the cookies. I believe this helped out, for me at least.

Did you contact customer service about this problem? In most cases this kind of problem is souly the service provider and not your computer.

Single computer or multiple computers? Routers? Firewalls? It could be numerous things: different/changes in routing stations, working being done, packet loss, etc.

Don't know about the ATT part but, Yahoo is losing it's quality in more ways than a DSL service.

You are not alone Sourmash, I am at the point of changing providers. I call for help on a regular basis and the tech always tries to make it sound as though the problem is on my side. Then why does it get better later in the day? Without me doing anything? My speeds in the mornings are pitiful... 1.78kbps to maybe 4.04. I even had a hard time getting in here to type this. I opened my sbc account about 5 years ago and it has gone way down in proformance. I think my monthly bill should be prorated because I'm not getting what I pay for. So... today I will look for a new provider in the Tracy Ca area.
