No STMP

I have ATT DSL and all works fine at home. This weekend I went to my son's home and his wireless is hooked to Time Warner. I can receive email at his home but cannot send email as it times out. Is it impossible to send through mail.bellsouth.net through another provider?

the new smtp server that at&t uses is smtp.att.yahoo.com and the SSL settings should be checked if you are using any email client, i.e, Outlook Express. but i am not sure with the smtp for bellsouth. sorry. ^__^
