Default SBC/Vista Connection

I just had to do a system recover on my HP computer I have had only since February. Anyway..not the issue. I had this problem when I first got it and can't remember what steps I took to keep it from happening all of the time. My OS is Vista Home Premium (never been impressed by the way) I never had trouble with my previous OS on my old computer (Millenium). That's why I'm guessing it has to do with the Vista OS. HERE'S THE ISSUE: I can't seem to get my SBC/DSL connection to stay connected. It keeps loosing the connection when the computer sits idle for any length of time. I think it has to do with a power issue, but I'm not sure. I have to unplug the router, wait approx. 20 seconds, plug it back in, then restart my computer. Any ideas what's going on and how to solve the problem. Also, wondering if anyone else has had this problem.
Thanks!

Default Yep...

I have the same problem. Windows Vista Home, internet won't stay connected. Apparently, no one on this forum knows how to solve this problem.
