I live in South Carolina, but in a rural area that isn't serviced by Bell South. We have a small locally owned phone company, Pond Branch Telephone. They provide DSL. I think their price is a little higher than Bell South, but the service is great. The only time the service has been out for any length of time was when they were switching the lines over to a new connector box they just finished building. The customer support is as good as the service.
Guess I'm glad to be outside of Bell South's service area. The little bit I would save on their price wouldn't be worth the hassles of having their unsteady connection. |

Do you have a link for this site? Might be worth checking out if the service is as good as your review of them was.

Here's their site. Don't know where you live, so I don't know if they'll be any help or not. Like I said, they're just a small local company. I think their phone service only covers 2 or 3 counties. http://www.pbtcomm.net/

I find these smaller local companies quite interesting. More often they have better service and are willing to do more to keep their customers happy. Some I have seen over the years have been lacking the expertise, but this seems to become less of a problem these days.
