I have the ability to connect through dial-up. I have one computer that still has a modem. But I generally don't do it. The cable usually isn't down very long. I can survive for a little while without the computer.

I'd have to pop in a modem from my spare parts, but it wouldn't be hard. Nothing too servere that i cant go without the net though.

I don't really like to use dial-up. If our internet connection goes down, it's usually not for very long. The couple of times when it has gone down for an extended period of time I've used the computer at our local library. I only live 3 blocks from the library, so it's not like it's difficult to get there.
