Default DSL vs Cable

So. Is DSL highspeed?

I hear a lot of DSL users claim it's just as fast and all that, and all the cable users laugh and scoff at DSL.

Who here has experience with both?

I have never used Cable, just been using DSL. So I am not sure how much difference there is in the speed though. Anyone used Cable around here?

I've used both Cable and DSL, and in my experience, Cable has always been faster. Of course that will probably vary from area to area, and ISP to ISP.

Well, i'll tell you one thing. For the most part, DSL is more consistent than Cable speed-wise. There have been many times where Cable has gone horribly slow for short periods. DSL always stays at about the same speed.

DSL is usually a lot cheaper, so give it a look. What's better for you really depends on the kind of stuff you use internet for. Some people swear by Cable, and others like DSL better.
