Default How many computers will a cable internet connection support?

How many computers can run from my internet connection? Is it limitless as long as I have the equipment to network them, or will my signal get weaker with every computer I add. I currently have 3, if I decided to do 5 or 6 would that be possible?

I have 6 computers running off my rr cable split over two routers, and my connection is fine, so I doubt you'll be able to overpower it.

Some high bandwith consumering programs (P2P, voip, games) may have an adverse affect, as well as any worms.
