Default comcast and routers?

Hi: I moved my comcast from my home to my office (got verizon fios at home). The install confirmed that my decision to switch was a good one! What a fiasco. The installer said my cable modem that worked at my home 6 miles away would not work with their system. I asked since this is the same county why would it work a day or so ago but not now. He didn't know. He finally got the cable working but not the way it was at my home. At home I had the cable connect to the cable box, then into a router with 2 airports off of it. If I plug the new cable modem into a router I get nothing. The only way I have Internet is to directly connect my computer into the cable modem. Any suggestions to get it working the way it did would be appreciated.

Thanks, Bob

hook everything up and turn everything off. plug the power back into the modem and wait 2 min. then plug the power back into the router and wait 2 min. then boot your pomuters up. if you still cant get the internet, contact you router company b/c we already know the comcast/moed/and computers are fine. you problem will resolve within your router
