Well i'd call in first, usually if its disconnecting like that its poor signals US/DS either one can cause that. What kind of modem eg Motorola SB5101.

Comcast needs to recognize that its modems need a massive recall. Their customer service is so lousy that they rather you go without service for days on out before they take care of the problem.
I have been without service for 7 days which means my VOIP service has been out too. They want to call you on the phone to make sure someone is home for the service call. When they call the first time, if there's no answer, they bump you to the next day. Then they give this nonsense time frame for you to "standby". Our country works best when there's competition and right now many DC consumers are being shafted by the fact that there's no broadband competition to Comcast. They do as they wish and it is LOUSY--7 days of this cat and mouse nonsense. This will be the seond time that they will come out for the modem and this time the light stay solid with no blinking indicating that there is no connection back to the hub/mainframe. They're already rolling out the new modems so COMCAST, why not be a GSP (Good Service Provider) instead of ISP (Idiot Service Providers) and make your customers whole? The least that I expected is a trouble-shooter with spare equipments in tow. Fed up and shafted! Shame on you people. |

sounds like you are having a signal issue in the lines. but just for arguments sake, what modem modem is it and its mac address so i can look it up here in the call center.
As for the customer service issue. I am here to help anyone and everyone with any issue you may have. email me at thecomcastguy@hotmail.com with any issues. PS we have to do the pre calls to make sure someone is there and ready for the tech b4 we waste gas/time/effort coming out to someone who isnt even home. Next time I recomend using you cell phone for a contact info. |
