Default Routers

Hi,

how many people are using a router DSL Modem? And are you protecting the internal network, if so how are you doing it?

I am thinking of buying an additional router and use this in the internal network and rather connect the DSL Modem/Router with this internal router, so that I can share printers, scanners, files etc.

Honestly, the network in this house has been taken down and replaced afew times, when we switch the offices around (which we are not going to do again, anytime soon). My husband is an IT Director, so he setup the firewall/router/all that jazz, really I don't remember off hand how it was done. I will have a chat with him and get back with you. Its a pain to do (once) but done (once) and proper is better than no protection at all.
