Default Question about Cable TV

I hope this is okay since everyone with cable internet or phone probably also has cable TV. Recently, one of our chanels has started having shadows. What I mean by that is you see a person or object as kind of having a halo effect around them like their image has been imposed again only very lightly, does that make sense to anyone? Kind of double exposed I guess. So anyway, would that be the fault of the cable company, or the network, or my TV? It only happens on one channel.

I'd say the network... if EVERY channel but that is fine, then it's not your TV.

Just to be difficult here, , not everyone with broadband has cable TV. I don't. But I am just being difficult. I think most people do, and I think I read on another thread here that one company charged more to their internet customers that didn't also sub to cable. At least I know I heard that somewhere, and I have been lurking here for a while so I think it was here...

Sorry MH, didn't mean to offend. I guess that's why one should not ASSUME.

Zampano, I had a feeling it was probably the network. Irritating!! Just irritating. It's a network I tend to watch a lot and it's screwed up during the times when I usually watch. Oh well, I'll survive I suppose.

It's not always the network. We had a bad channel. Funny thing was, it was only bad on the bedroom TV. It was fine in the front room and kitchen. We called the cable company and found out that the original installer hadn't done the cable connection correctly and it wasn't sending a strong enough signal. I'm not sure why that would only affect one channel, but it did. Once they ran a new cable, the picture cleared up.

Good reply ZIggy.
Had the same problem years back with comcast. Then you had to run your own calbe after the main installor or pay for the extra work. So, hubby did it himself. Hubby really did a poor job of it. Results were that only one TV had good viewing.
I took it upon myself to replace all the cheap connectors he used and the problems cleared right up. YAY ME. ANd they say women are dumb! Jeez!
