Every "geek" that I know, does password their router, I am pretty sure someone could get into it (I think its called war driving or something like that). I know we have a wireless thing here, and I was told by alot of people that it needed a password, since I trust them and have known them forever, I did.

How did you put a password on it exactly? Go into your settings via the internet protocol?

Honestly I am not "exactly" sure on that. When I have seen it done, people would use the location bar in their web browser, and type their (I guess internal??) IP in there, and it pops up the router admin thing, or whatever its called. I would try to call the place that you got the router from and ask them. Good luck & let us know what you find out too!!

I am not sure if they can take over your PC through your router, but they can take over your router, and in that manner fool your PC to think it is going to certain websites, like your bank or paypal.
It can also log on to your router and use your resources surfing the web or posting nasty messages with your IP etc. I suggest setting a password on as it is safer for your resources. |

Input this in your browser "192.168.1.1" and you will enter the configuration of your router. Each company that creates a router has its own configuration so I can't point you where you could make the password.
