Default How do I randomize my IP address?

You know how AOL changes your IP everytime you reconnect? Do you know of some way I can automatically do that on highspeed internet? Basically, i'm security crazy and i'd like to know a way to do this. Thank you in advance!

Wow! I know its a pain to do when you dont know how, but you can google and get more information. I remember some telling me about this, but I really dont have any reason to. Good luck! Google is everyones friend.

I think it's funny that you have to pay so much out of pocket to get a static IP, but people spend so much time trying to get the standard dial up feature of a new IP everytime you connect. haha

I think it largly depends on who your ISP is, some will not allow this and you are given x static IPs. Some have dynamic allocation, like you are looking for. Contact your ISP and ask them.

Then there are a number of places online where you are masked from the outside world and thereby go anonymously online.

Thanks for the information everyone! It still doesn't really answer my questions, but it's something. Would have been nice if somebody could provide links, but hey.

I have does program once, its called TOR. It randomizes your IP almost every minute. I haven't got any problems with this program except my connection speed slowed down because of the setup of the program. You will use IP addresses of other people who are also using TOR and in return, those people will have the ability to use your IP address. It is fully automatic and the program will choose an IP address for you. The best thing is that, the IP addresses are from different countries around the globe.

Here is a link of the program: http://tor.eff.org/

But be careful in configuring this program for it is not for beginners.
