I have used Skype, yahoo ,msn, paltalk and few other messengers .I think skype has the best voice clarity. The first time I used it was with a guy from Germany. We didn't know each other and we still kept chatting for 10 minutes. His voice was so clear that it seemed like he was sitting next to me.I'd have thought that they'd withdraw the free service by now , but they surprised me.

I love Skype, it has great qualities and it gives a clarity beyond doubt. I have spoken with people all over the world, and use it when I travel internationally to keep contact with my HQ.

Yes,Skype is the best for making international calls. When I use my landline to make international calls ,there is often a time lag followed by several echos that makes me wonder how many people I am speaking to , but when using skype , there are no such problems. It's as good as a local phone call.

i use Skype for ANY internet market/meeting call, and Love it, the sound quality is indeed amazing, usually of its bad, its the other end's mic, and they have still kept a lot of their features free, which i also love!

I think alot of the popularity around Skype is the quality and the savings. If the quality was not so good, most people would have used some of the alternatives around. But it has excellent quality, and is low cost, and like mentioned many features are still free.
