Just changed my service to Road Runner. Everything works fine on desktop attached directly to modem & router.
Using linksys wireless router wrt300N v.1 with four wireless laptops on network. ALL laptops cannot access google.com yet can access mostly all other sites. ANY SUGGESTIONS? ![]() |

Sounds like it might be a TCP/IP setting, Puzzled. I would recommend giving Road Runner support a call & hopefully they can help you resolve it.
You might want to double check to see if you have this trojan: http://securityresponse.symantec.com...an.qhosts.html It is not that malicious, but something like this could change your TCP/IP settings. |

RoadRunner is pretty good, and rules Austin for broadband. Only complaint I have is with the modems. We've had RR for several years, and had one of the earliest modems they put. Bout a year back, we started to frequently lose internet connection, around every 20-25 minutes, for a few minutes. From 11pm to about 6pm, it'd go out for 30 minutes at a time. Finally we convinced RR we need a new modem, got it rather promptly, hooked up, and have been fine ever since. |

We have roadrunner, with 2 PC's and 1 laptop running on a wireless router. We have no problem accessing Google or any other site for that matter. Since our setup seems to be similar to yours, I would agree with dent that the problem has to be on your end and not RoadRunner.

Yea, their customer service is pretty good, though I confused them by asking why my service was down in the webchat help.

You can have more than IE on the computer and there will be no conflicts. I have FireFox as well. |

Browsers don't cause problems unless there is a problem with a site, so I don't think the broswer is that guy's problem.
But regardless, go firefox. |
