Angry Red Internet Light on Westell Versalink 327W Modem

Okay look at the image. See how the red light is on in the Internet section? that's my problem it's got to be green and I've thought of everything I could think of which is everything they tell me at the verizon website (reset modem, unplug it and turn it off and on) and none of those things work so i'm trying to figure out if my modem is the problem which I'm sure it is because no matter what I do it never seems to work so I just want some reassurance that it is indeed my modem and nothing else...

My previous problem before me and my brother moved it from my room to his room is in the picture below it's an animation rather small animation 29.48 kb so it shouldn't make this page load any much slower..

Notice how it's green... Now notice how it disapears... that's what always happened before we moved it to my brothers room.. The internet kept turning off so I couldn't stay connected to the internet for long... and this is why when I tested my Xbox Live connection on my xbox 360 it would always fail on something ranging from IP Address to Xbox Live it mainly turns off during ICMP and Xbox Live it'll sometimes go off on DNS and MTU which is pretty much inbetween IP Address and Xbox Live after xbox live is NAT which I can't get to since I could never get past Xbox Live...

Please tell me if it's my modem/router that is possibly broken now and if you know any suggestions on how to fix my problem please tell me.

P.s. I am using DSL not Cable, i'm using a Westell Versalink 327W Modem and my ISP is Verizon.

Default authentication

here's what you're going to do

pull up browser

place this on your address bar: 192.168.1.1

this is the address to access the General User Interface (GUI)

there are two GUI's for versalink tell me what you see there before i continue

(i am a verizon DSL tech support supervisor, we will resolve your problem, i promise)

Well my problem isn't completely resolved.. in fact i'm at the third level of tech support...
<.<
>.>

Yeeah... I've called several times to tech support and i'm getting tired of doing the same things over and over and over and over gets annoying.... and I've figued out that I got a line problem apparently so... someone came over and tried to fix it but couldn't... he could get like a 5700 reading over at one end then go to the other end and it'd be like 5300 then go further in and get like a 4700 or 4300... my numbers also dropped when they tried to lower it to 1.5 mbps it went down all the way to the 1000's...it went worse as soon as they lowered down the speed the verizon support center called me and said (automated) your line problem has been resolved and all that yay fun stuff and now I just got a few internet drop outs... and so yeah i told that to tech support (2nd level) and now i'm using my neighbors connection to connect to the internet to type this now... and right now im on hold for the 3rd level tech support... unless you can help with my line problem I don't really think there's much of a way you can help... *sigh*... i'm rather really irritated about all of this...
